Lunchtime Talk – Art for All: The Pioneering History of Public Art in Dundee

In next month’s Friends of Dundee City Archives talk Matthew Jarron, of the University of Dundee Museum Service,  will be speaking about the project to research, catalogue and promote over 500 sculptures, murals, mosaics and other forms of public art in Dundee. Including the Blackness Public Art Programme of the early 1980s, which attracted international attention for its ground-breaking approach.

The talk will take place on Thursday 9th January at 1pm, in the Glasite Hall on King Street. It’s free entry to all FDCA Lunchtime Talks and everyone is welcome – you don’t need to be a member of the friends. See the FDCA website for more information.
