Next month’s Friends of Dundee City Archives talk will be given by Gillian Molloy. Earlier this year Gillian released her long awaited book about the old street names of Dundee. In this talk she will reveal how some of Dundee’s key streets got their names. Find out what the original name for the Nethergate and just where did the name Peep O Day Lane come from?
The talk will take place on Thursday 5th December at 1pm, in the Glasite Hall on King Street. It’s free entry to all FDCA Lunchtime Talks and everyone is welcome – you don’t need to be a member of the friends. See the FDCA website for more information.
There will be an opportunity to buy Gillian’s book “Street Names of Old Dundee” (£10) before and after the talk.
