Mill’s Observatory: Dundee’s Eyes in the Sky

The October Friends of Dundee City Archives talk will be about the Mill’s Observatory. Opened on 28th October 1935, the observatory sits proudly atop Balgay Hill. Plans were originally drawn up for an observatory on the Law, but it was moved after the War Memorial was placed there instead. Join us as Ken Kennedy takes us through the history of the observatory.

The talk will take place on Thursday 3rd October at 1pm, in the Glasite Hall on King Street. It’s free entry to all FDCA Lunchtime Talks and everyone is welcome – you don’t need to be a member of the friends. See the FDCA website for more information. Tickets are not compulsory but you can get one on eventbrite
