The Grocery Boy – A slice of his life in 1950s Scotland

For next month’s Friends of Dundee City Archives’ Lunchtime talk we take a walk down memory lane, back to the old grocery shops full of paper bags, weighing scales and boys who delivered messages on a bike. Robert Murray will be sharing some of his memories about the time he spent as a grocery boy in Dundee and Carnoustie during the 1950s.

The talk will take place on Thursday 2nd May at 1pm, in the Glasite Hall on King Street. It’s free entry to all FDCA Lunchtime Talks and everyone is welcome – you don’t need to be a member of the friends. Find out more and get your ticket on Eventbrite.
