Hear Women’s Voices: A Behind the Scenes Tour of Dundee City Archives

Go behind the scenes at the Archives on Saturday 9th March, for a chance to see some unique and interesting records relating to the history of Dundee and the women who have lived and worked here.

Ranging from missionaries to shop workers and councillors to dressmakers all sorts of women and their voices are recorded in the City’s Archives. Learn about the everyday and extraordinary lives of women in records such as the Poorhouse registers, the burial registers, school records, photographs, letters and much more.

You’ll get a chance to see behind the scenes at the archives. Find out what we do and how we are helping to preserve Dundee’s history. The tour will consist of a behind the scenes look at the Archives followed by a document display.

Tours are restricted in number so booking is essential. They will last around 45 minutes and start at:

  • 10:30am  Fully Booked
  • 11:00am  Fully Booked
  • 11:30am
  • 12:00pm
  • 12:30pm  Fully Booked
