Who lived in a house like this?

Have you ever wondered who lived in your house before you? Perhaps you would like to know who built it? Well you might be able to find out in the Archives. Come along to the Friends of Dundee City Archives Lunchtime talk next week and discover how you can find out more about the history of your house. Assistant Archivist Sarah Aitken will run through the main sources for research house history, including directories, valuation rolls, sasines, and plans. Come along and find out who lived in this house and how you can find out who lived in yours.

The talk will take place on Thursday 7th June at 1pm, in the Glasite Hall on King Street. It’s free entry to all FDCA Lunchtime Talks and everyone is welcome – you don’t need to be a member of the friends. See the FDCA website for more information.

  1. This is the Knuck family. The lady at the top of the steps is my Great Grandmother. Her father Henry Knuck owned the Knuck factory on Dens Road. Would love to know more about them if you had any info.
